Workshops For PhoenixPhyre 2008

Over 40 workshops will be presented during the gathering beginning Wednesday afternoon and carried through Saturday.? We are running multiple adult tracks,and a youth track, in a addition the Teens will be working with the Youth services coordinator to design their own workshop schedule. The workshop presenters and their workshops will be listed on our web site. We are focusing on children and teen workshops . Although we will have a wide variety of workshops, we request that you consider offering a workshop on a skill, or a bit of knowledge that the phamily could benefit from, and contribute to the community.? Remember that as a community, we support each other, and the sharing of knowledge and skills are the foundation on which the Phamily is built.

New to our Festival Environment? We’d like to invite you to attend Gathering Etiquette on the deck. All social interactions have certain customs that have evolved as “correct” behavior; Pagan gatherings are no different. Included are tips on how to interact with the friendly naked pagans, when throwing a cigarette into a fire is a bad idea, attending ritual, and more!

Crafting Community Ritual
A three part workshop on crafting large community rituals. In fact, we create the main community ritual for Saturday night.

Rockin’ Rituals Presented by Scarlett
Beginning with the story of rituals that have succeeded, we'll unravel the mystery of the circles that move and change us and the ones that leave us with sore feet and strange trinkets to take home. Included will be some basic ritual function to keep in mind, tips on symbolism, and a beginner's guide to telling the sacred stories that are a part of our culture.

Session two: stringing and beadwork. Due to the materials that are required for this workshop, a $2.00 fee is requested to cover the cost of the materials.

Pendulums - What They Are and How to Use Them Presented by Lady Star Puma and Mayd Heron
Throughout history, people have turned to the pendulum to guide them in making decisions.
